“The desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul. No matter our talents, education, backgrounds, or abilities, we. each have an inherent wish to create something that did not exist before.”
Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Happiness Your Heritage, October 2008
Our History
In 2008, I found a love for blogging, I mean, despite the awful name (I mean, think about it, blogging sounds like something is about spew out of your mouth – BLO-O-O-GGING, but I digress) it was wonderful to write and get ideas out in a digital space, and to have the freedom to add visuals and play with tech in such a fun way was exhilarating! Plus, my job as an English Technical Writing Professor demanded that I learn and excel at this so that I would be a few steps ahead of my amazing students.
But what to write about? I have always been fascinated by creativity – creative people, creative arts, watching my children be creative (I am still so fascinated by the creativity of kids – it just flows out of them!). So I began to report on my findings, wanting to write much more than I did, but enjoying the moments that I could spare as a busy working mom.
Fast Forward to today, those little ones that I wrote about are becoming quite grown-up and as I shared my ideas to one day do more with the blog – to create things of value and to maybe work on my small (now defunct) business (you can read about that venture of creativity and amazing lessons here – A Great Big Thank You), these littles ones got excited by the ideas. And so we are working on continuing to blog, and are working on some creative projects as well.
Please take a look, and comment, share tell us about your creative dreams, or share what you are doing. I agree with President Uchtdorf that creativity can truly add to our happiness in life.

“Everyone can create. You don’t need money, position, or influence in order to create something of substance or beauty..”
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf
